05 Aug Huzzah to Protein Researchers
In their quest to use human computation ability to its fullest, U-Washington researchers made a game called Foldit available on the web to model the folding of proteins. Based on Rosetta@home project, where volunteers were contributing the downtime on their home computers to power a protein-folding program, Foldit uses human volunteers as game players.
